KUS Stainless Steel Immersion Tube Sensor Model S5 (0–190 Ohms) – Reliable flanged tank sensor with SAE 5-hole pattern

Ensure absolutely precise level measurement in your boat’s tank! The KUS Model S5 is the global standard for onboard fuel (gasoline, diesel) and water tanks. Thanks to the precise reed contact technology inside the stainless steel tube, this sensor delivers an absolutely stable and jitter-free signal to your display instrument—completely unaffected by violent boat movements or fuel sloshing.

The sensor provides the European standard output signal of 0–190 ohms, making it perfectly compatible with all analog and digital KUS onboard instruments as well as modern NMEA-2000 converters.

📐 Measurement Instructions & Fit for Model S5:

For the S5 model, measure the length from the bottom of the mounting flange to the end of the tube. To prevent the transducer from hitting the bottom of the tank, please follow this rule of thumb:

Inner clear tank height minus 10 mm to 15 mm = your ideal sensor length.
Mounting: The sensor features an integrated SAE 5-hole flange (54 mm bolt circle). It is screwed directly onto the tank from above.

Advantages & Technical Highlights at a Glance:

Maintenance-free reed technology: No wear-prone float arms or exposed sliding contacts. The internal magnetic float glides along the tube without contact, ensuring maximum durability.
Premium Material: The sensor tube and flange are made entirely of saltwater- and fuel-resistant AISI 316 stainless steel (V4A).
Complete Installation Kit: A fuel-resistant NBR flange gasket and the 5 matching mounting screws are included in the package.
IP67 Protection Rating: The cable outlet and sensor head are fully encapsulated to be dust- and waterproof.
Ready-to-connect cable length: Equipped with a permanently sealed, splash-proof connection cable approximately 45 cm long for easy routing to the wiring harness.
